Before I give my review, I just want to say something that has bothering me for some time now---and not only in the case of this author--- but others as well. I know for a fact that every author strives to write the best book they can. So IMO- they do NOT deserve getting low rating just because of some download snafu that's completely out of their hands. It happens now and then, people. In fact; I was one of those people that got the partical book in my download---and it's not the first time it's happened to me, either--- but rather than coming here and issuing a bad review because I got caught up in this snafu, I went straight to Amazon to see if there was a fix, and there was....and it was there within hours of the release. IMO- the whole ordeal was handled with a great deal of efficiency and professionalism on both Amazon and the author's part.Now on with my review:
There are many authors I've read in the past who write romantic comedies, but fall short of the mark. Sometimes their humor is on the unbelievable and riduculious side, some are just boring, but that's not true of Katie Graykowski. IMO- she's brilliant when it comes to writing this kind of book. Her characters are always so down to earth and very relatable. But at the same time, not one of her characters are perfect in any way, shape or form. Every family--no matter who you are---has some of those same type of wild characters that were introduced in this story--- lingering within their own family dynamic's. They're the type of family member who makes the family very interesting and hilarious when gathering together, but especially when it comes to attending the annual family reunion.
Once again Katie Graykowski delivers another really awesome story! Charming Coco was so hard to put down and it is such a fun and so, so easy read. My heart melted watching this journey unfold between the love triangle of the Prince, Coco and Seth. One has her heart, and one has her head. Coco ususally let's her head do the talking, but will her heart win out this time? I didn't know which way it would turn out, but I was so elated with the outcome.
I absolutely loved Coco's family, especially Grace. That woman is so full of love, but she can cut you to the quick, if need be. And she takes no BS off of anyone. She doesn't tell you what you want to hear, she tells you what you need to hear. I think most of us can only hope to have a woman like her to watch our backs. I also loved being able to catch up a little bit with some of the people in past books. That's always a major plus in my book.
Can't wait to read more~!

This can't be the last book, please more. Any ways Coco had lived Seth since she was sixteen years old. But he thought of her as a little sister. When she turned eighteen she was rebuffed by him. So she left for college and didn't come back for twelve years. Now back from working for Doctors without borders she is ready to start a life with a man she can trust. Will it be Seth or Giovanni? One is the true prince in her life.
This is the last book, or book 5, of the Lone Star series, beautifully written by Katie Graykowski. I loved the love between Seth and Coco, they were just meant to be a couple. I've read the whole series and I absolutely love the women for how feisty they all were. The men were all portrayed as strong, loving men. This book just put the perfect HEA within the whole series. Now I must read more books written by this awesome author.
Coco has been in love crushy on Seth forever. When she turns 18 she kisses him and he doesn’t reciprocate. She runs far for her residency and works with Doctors Without Borders in Sudan. Seth is an NFL receiver for the team her Father coaches. 12 years later, she is back home. Seth has always cared for Coco but she was too young for him. Now he has competition with her friend, the spinal surgeon, who was also in Sudan. Nicely written and has laugh out loud snarky . Fun and enjoyable read!!
Quite a few people have rated this book poorly because of a download glitch. Its not that hard to fix! I loved this couple and this book but, the thing is, **spoiler alert** I am an aid worker and have lived and worked in all the places mentioned. Reading is my escape, the book's version of Coco's last deployment was a hodge podge of everywhere part Nigeria, part Yemen and part Afghanistan and not nearly the real South Sudan. I can live with that,after all a little bit of artistic license is allowed. The one niggling fact which ruined the book for me is that Sudan has been under US sanctions for over a decade ( a small region called Darfur had something to do with it) what it means is that as much as many an aidworker dreams of it while eating the same thing for the 40th day in a row, there is no McDonald's in Khartoum to fly burgers in from. A little more fact checking and spell checking/editing would have made the book pretty near awesome.
Holy Cow did we had a giant time jump. I loved this book and frankly can't believe this series is over. We have a whole host of children who will need to become part of the primary cast of characters. They need to take a place at the table and I would love for Ms. Graykowski to really consider changing her mind and giving us at least two more books. Mario has not been mentioned for a while, our Luke from this book and the twins need love. I loved that Coco was kept strong and sassy as ever. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when she told her parents about her "real" story with DWB's. I was also not expecting Seth to have such a strong history but with Coco such a strong presence he had to bring a strong game to the table and boy he delivered. I would have loved to have a bit more from our secondary characters but perhaps age has done something here. Coco and Seth held my interest but I did miss the strong presence of the older characters. I also thought the tone of this story was a little less funny. All I do know is that I really feel this series is not yet complete. What has evil Alice been up to? Do the twins have girlfriends? How have the newer players been incorporated into this wonderful mix? I need this information. Ms. Graykowski created these wonderful characters who were each sooo clearly drawn that they seem real in my mind. Wonderful writing and a very strong story! Thank you very much! denise bailey
